Tracking Citations

Periodically I’ll be posting links to citations that present new bioinformatics methods for microbial genomics, metagenomics tools, or microbiome research papers. Eventually I’ll move the entire GoogleDoc I started a few year ago over to this site and combine them all.

In addition, I’m likely going to use this space as a place where I can also keep track of citations that mention QIAGEN’s CLC Genomics Workbench software in their Methods (primarily in the microbial genomics or virology research space). I’ve been tracking this anyway ever since I joined the QIAGEN BIOX team in May, but I figured I might as well share what I find. It is (to me at least) pretty interesting to see all the different ways different groups are using GxWB. (To be clear though – this is not intended to be any official QIAGEN blog. This is my personal blog and I own the domain name, etc. etc.)

Metagenomics Methods Papers @Zotero

For these “citation posts”, I’ll be using WordPress’s Tags and Categories feature so that I can find sets of related publications easier. I’ve also added a permalink to the public Zotero collection I’ll be using to eventually transfer over all the content on the GoogleDoc. If you’re a Zotero user, you can (I think?) subscribe to that and add it to your own collection as well.

Who knows.. perhaps I’ll be able to return to a habit I used to have, one that has fallen off a bit recently… #APaperADay. 🙂
